Terms and Conditions

1. Promoter
This competition is organised and administered by the Free Republic of Verdis (the “Organiser”).
2. Eligibility
  • The competition is open to individual entrants and teams worldwide.
  • All entrants must be at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of entry.
  • Employees of the Organiser, members of the judging panel, and any persons directly affiliated with the administration of the competition shall not be eligible to participate.
3. Competition Structure & Categories
The competition shall comprise the following three (3) categories:
  1. 2D Master Plan / Illustration
  2. 3D Model / Environment
  3. Game / Interactive Map Version
Entrants may submit entries to one or more categories, provided that a separate submission is made for each category entered.
4. Submission Requirements
Each valid entry must include the following components:
  • A 2D illustration depicting the final concept design.
  • A 3D version developed from the 2D design.
  • A game or interactive environment version developed from the 3D model.
All submissions must satisfy the following requirements:
  • The submission must constitute original work created by the entrant or entrants.
  • The submission must be received by the Organiser before the official submission deadline.
  • The submission must be provided in the formats specified in the applicable competition brief.
5. Judging & Selection
  • All entries shall be reviewed and assessed by a judging panel appointed by the Organiser.
  • Assessment criteria may include, without limitation, creativity, technical execution, usability, and consistency with the vision of the Free Republic of Verdis.
  • The decision of the Organiser and the judging panel shall be final and binding in all matters relating to the competition.
6. Prizes
For each category (2D, 3D, and Game), the following prizes shall be awarded:
1st Place
  • €500 (EUR) cash prize
  • Award of citizenship of the Free Republic of Verdis (subject to eligibility requirements)
2nd Place
  • €150 (EUR) cash prize
3rd Place
  • Free e-Residency Plus status for a period of one (1) year
7. Prize Conditions
  • Citizenship and e-Residency prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and shall not be redeemable for cash or any other alternative.
  • Cash prizes shall be paid using a payment method determined by the Organiser in its sole discretion.
  • The Organiser reserves the right to substitute any prize with an alternative prize of equal or greater value where reasonably necessary.
8. Intellectual Property
  • Entrants shall retain ownership of their original submissions.
  • By submitting an entry, each entrant grants to the Organiser a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use, reproduce, adapt, modify, publish, and further develop the submitted work for purposes connected with the Free Republic of Verdis, including promotional, digital, and commercial uses.
9. Use of Submissions
Without prejudice to the foregoing, the Organiser may:
  • Publish, exhibit, and otherwise display any entry.
  • Use submitted designs in future development activities, including digital environments, maps, and infrastructure concepts.
  • Adapt, refine, or build upon submitted concepts and ideas.
10. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Organiser shall not be liable for:
  • Lost, delayed, or incomplete submissions
  • Technical issues affecting participation
  • Any loss, damage, or injury arising from participation or acceptance of a prize
11. Amendments & Cancellation
The Organiser reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to amend, suspend, postpone, or cancel the competition, in whole or in part, at any time and without prior notice.
12. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting an entry, each participant acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim (including any non-contractual dispute or claim) arising out of or in connection with them, the competition, or any entry submitted pursuant to it, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
The competition is administered by Verdis Intl Trading Ltd, and the parties irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales in relation to any such dispute or claim.
